Ukraine Parliament Committee

Þingvellir national park´s director, Einar Á. E. Sæmundsen, greeted members of the Ukraine parliament today. The delegation has been attending meetings with members of the Icelandic Parliament in the last couple of days.

From Alþingi in Reykjavík, the road led to the old assembly site, the park´s director quickly reviewed the Þingvellir´s history from its establishment to UNESCO nomination. Tourism issues, infrastructure and the national park´s capacity was discussed.

In the good weather which offered great view, the guests where guided around the old assembl site. From there the route continued from Þingvellir along the golden circle to Geysir.
